I wanted to thank all of you so much for being such wonderful people to my son and also to my family. You can't imagine how much your generosity meant to us.

Jerrell Wise
Wrongful Death Attorney
Jerrell Wise is proving to be an irreplaceable asset to Grossman Law Offices. This is because he brings practical experience on both sides of the law to the firm, and to our clients. Before beginning his legal career as a prosecutor in various large county different district attorneys’ offices, he protected and served the public as a law enforcement officer for eight years.
Before choosing to become an attorney, Mr. Wise put his life on the line defending citizens as a member of the Mesquite Police Department, taking part in all facets of law enforcement – responding to 911 calls and investigating many crimes such as burglaries, robberies, traffic accidents and domestic assaults. In order to pursue the study of law,
Mr. Wise moved to Houston to accept a position with the High-Tech Crimes Unit within the Harris County Constable’s Office. While there, he devoted his talents to helping children and investigating the growing world of cyber crime as a member of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes against Children Federal Task Force. In that capacity, he worked closely with agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Secret Service. During his tenure with that county’s Constable Office, Jerrell also worked closely with Harris County prosecutors as well as many members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
During his tenure with the Constable’s office, Mr. Wise attended the University of Houston Law Center, where, in addition to his course work, he served as the Houston Journal of International Law’s editor and focusing on trial advocacy coursework. In order to further refine his skills, Jerrell participated in mock trial, moot court, and mediation competitions; advancing to the final of the prestigious Jeffrey Abrams National Mediator Competition. Not to be satisfied with educating himself merely in the classroom, Mr. Wise consistently sought real-world experience by attaining a Public Interest Fellowship with the Crimes against Children division of the Harris County District Attorney’s office. Moreover, he interned with South District of Texas Federal District Court Judge Gary H. Miller. While there, Mr. Wise focused on research and writing bench memoranda: both vital but often thankless tasks within the judicial system.
“Jerrell Wise’s background in criminal investigation, and his experience on specialized task force investigations makes him an ideal addition to our investigative operations,” notes Grossman Law Offices’ founder Michael Grossman.
Upon graduation from U of H Law, Mr. Wise continued his work with the Harris County District Attorney’s office before moving back to the Metroplex so that he could accept a position with the Collin County District Attorney. Through both criminal advocacy positions, he accumulated a wealth of invaluable experience: prosecuting many different kinds of cases that included drug possession, driving while intoxicated, assault, and others. At Grossman Law Offices, we jumped at the opportunity to hire Mr. Wise, so our clients could take advantage of his vast experience in criminal law and his equally fine skills at investigation.
In characterizing his reasons for offering Jerrell a position with his firm, Grossman explains, “All of the time, our firm is expanding, so we must always be on high alert to find better ways of serving our clients’ needs. By adding someone who has experience both in District Attorney’s Office, as a criminal investigator and as a police officer, we gain a unique and invaluable perspective and add to our cumulative knowledge base. We are exceptionally pleased with the addition of Jerrell. His experience and sensitivity has already led to more comprehensive and higher quality of representation for our clientele.”
